Oak stool with beaded spool legs

Oak stool stained, with turned legs. France, circa 1920–1940. Square top with a scalloped edge in the shape of a cartouche, pierced with nine circular holes. The apron is cut with arches and has decorative perforations. Four hand-turned legs stained dark brown. Made of oak or beech. Rustic-regionalist style characteristic of French production between the two wars. Seat top: 35 × 35 cm. Height: 45 cm. Overall good condition. Homogeneous old patina. Light wear consistent with age.
