Keller and Guerin: Set of two polychrome earthenware plates – 19th century – floral and cornucopia decoration. Charming set of two oval earthenware plates with 19th-century polychrome decoration. These two pieces feature hand-painted decoration in bright colours, composed of stylised floral motifs. One is adorned with an elegant flowering cornucopia, while the other presents a central bouquet in a naturalistic style. The wings are highlighted with a characteristic blue line and embellished with scattered small flowers. The reverse bears blue underglaze marks, confirming an old production from the factory. Dimensions. Approximately: Large model: 42 X 32 cm. Second model: 37 X 29 cm. Condition. Overall good condition for antique pieces. To note: Small edge losses. Signs of use and wear to the glaze. An old attachment system on the reverse for wall hanging. Period. 19th century. Remarks. Beautiful decorative set, typical of old French earthenware. Ideal for wall display or as a centrepiece.
