Art Deco sculpture by Phillips (Paul Philippe)

A very rare bronze sculpture of a draped woman depicting a dancer in pure art deco style. A beautiful posture with her arm stretched out towards the sky holding a draped fabric. The piece is made of bronze with a beautiful shaded verdigris patina. It rests on a portor marble base. Signed in the marble "phillips" pseudonym of paul philippe (1870-1930)...! And "bronze" on the statue. Old edition cast iron, circa 1930. Superb and extremely rare piece created for luxury stores of the time. (there is a similar model for sale which bears the stamp "ovington" famous importer of luxury items of the time "ovington brothers", for information the last photo shows an identical model signed "paul philippe" and sold at auction, and therefore is not part of the lot) 54 cm high 25 cm long 13 cm wide 9 kg weight.
