This beautiful antique teapot is made of English pewter from the 1900s. This rounded design was created by the silversmiths Shaw & Fischer in Sheffield and dates from the very end of the 19th century. Baluster-shaped and resting on four small feet with rocaille moldings, it features a decoration of wide gadroons. The handle is made of wood. English Sheffield silver-plated metal is a type of silverware made with a pewter base. The silversmith's marks "S&F" for Shaw & Fischer are followed by the numbers "1542" for the model. This teapot shows some scratches from use, traces of oxidation, and small dents. It measures 18 cm high X 20 cm wide X 25 cm deep.
