Boarding school bedside table

Bedside table composed of a tubular metal frame, a lower folded sheet metal panel that doubles as a magazine rack, and a wooden drawer. The top panel is made of plywood with a real wood veneer (so it can be lightly sanded if needed). The rest of the drawer is made of solid wood (especially the front panel), so it can also be sanded. The whole piece forms a very attractive bedside table with a vintage schoolhouse design that fits perfectly at the end of a sofa. This bedside table, with its schoolhouse and industrial design, comes from a boarding school in the Jura region of France and was stored loose in an attic for several decades. Due to a slight warp in the top, the drawer is difficult to open and would benefit from some minor restoration. The visible gray color is its original finish. The feet are original.
