Description
This vase is made of flamed stoneware with a beautiful iridescent blue enamel. Under the base it is signed Alphonse Cytère (1861-1941). Alphonse Cytère is a ceramic engineer, linked to the Nancy school, who will set up his production in Rambervillers. The piece is stamped "unis france", a union of French industries to which cytère joined in 1920. This piece dates from the 1920s and is illustrated at the latest in a 1931 catalog (last photo) as the bottle from a port wine service . But it can be used as a soliflore for a notable art deco touch. Very good condition, without breakage or cracks. Slight wear to the enamel, acceptable for a piece that is 100 years old. Personal delivery possible in Paris (to be discussed before purchase).
