Mappemonde coffee table - Vintage

We are selling a very beautiful rectangular walnut coffee table, decorated with brass finishes (feet, corners, contour). The originality of this table lies in its magnificent glass top representing an old, richly illustrated 17th century map of the world, on a very luminous ocher background and also in the dark wood/golden finish contrast which evokes the world of the sea. Furniture that invites you to travel through space and time. This table dates from the 60s, it shows some small traces of wear consistent with its age (top in very good condition).
