Rare model 424 wall mirror by uno and östen kristiansson for luxus sweden 1960s. The frame is made from oak with sawtooth connections. Between the frame and the mirror a leather ring is placed. The back still has a partial decal with the makers and designers names. Luxus. In 1950 luxus was born; uno kristiansson founded his own company in the same town. He produced a range of products that were designed by the two brothers. In the late 1960s östen kristiansson took over his father’s business and renamed it östen kristiansson ab. Today the company is operating under its original name, vittsjö möbelfabrik ab. He passed away in 2003. Vittsjö is a small town in sweden with some 1700 inhabitants (2020). One fifth of all employment is within the manufacturing industry. The town hosts six of the largest companies in sweden.
