Magnificent chair by Hein Stolle. The BN-1 model is a rare dining chair designed in 1948 in collaboration with Dieverbrug, Groep& (den Boon / Stolle / Kleykamp) and manufactured by De Toekomst. This chair is made of plywood and birch. Hein Stolle was, along with Wim den Boon, a co-founder of the design collective Groep& Boon and Pierre Kleykamp. Together, these renowned designers created furniture for Goed Wonen. Stolle (1924-2006) was a leading Dutch designer, known for his significant contributions to the post-war design movement. He had a strict and functional approach, and his creations were characterised by clear lines and a minimalist aesthetic, reflecting the modernist ideals of the time. Closely associated with the influential 'Goed Wonen' movement, he advocated for accessible and well-designed furniture for the masses. Stolle's innovative use of materials and his commitment to creating practical yet elegant designs made him a key figure in the evolution of modern Dutch design.
