Circa 1980, Jean-Claude Peiré (1943–2025) was a French ceramist and designer renowned for his creations of decorative objects and lighting in the characteristic Pop Art style of the 80s. He distinguished himself with an original production of glazed ceramics that played with trompe-l'œil, repurposed shapes, and a playful or offbeat aesthetic. These sculptural wall lights are representative of the pop culture of the 80s.
