Masterful and very airy glass art sculpture in free form (burst model in thistle or "Splash" vase), made of Murano blown glass (Venice, Italy) in the heart of the 1960s. This exceptional piece was designed by the illustrious Italian designer Flavio Poli for the prestigious Seguso Vetri d'Arte manufacture. It showcases a remarkable complexity in hot shaping: the body flares from a heavy transparent tripod base to open into an organic crown with six elongated points, stretched with pliers according to Flavio Poli's guiding designs. Thanks to the Sommerso technique, the crystal offers a sumptuous two-tone gradient, transitioning from a dense tobacco brown to an absolutely luminous honey amber. The reverse features its factory pontil perfectly smoothed and polished, a technical signature of high-end Venetian craftsmanship. A theatrical art object ideal for structuring an exclusive sideboard. Characteristics: • Designer / Creator: Flavio Poli. • Manufacture: Seguso Vetri d'Arte (Murano, Italy) • Technique: Sommerso (Blown and stretched glass) • Era: Circa 1960-1965. • Dimensions: Height 26 cm|Upper diameter 18 cm|Base diameter 12 cm. • Condition: Perfect condition (Mint). The glass has a total mirror polish, with no opacity, cracks, or scratches under the base.
