One of four, rare, sycamore veneer, steel and melamine drafting tables / desks designed by colin cheetham for krisson equipment in the 1960's. Part of an innovative range of furniture for the graphic design industries that included cabinets and light boxes. The top surface of the desk, formed from bent plywood and sycamore veneer, lifts to reveal an adjustable drafting table. Attached to the supporting sides of the meccano-esque design is a small cupboard and swivelling shelf for stationary. This is one of 4 available desks, each with slight variations in detail and condition. Dimensions (cm, approx): Height: 82. Width: 78. Depth: 117. Condition: fair condition for year and structurally solid but with various imperfections to the surfaces.
