Neo-Victorian table lamp with pink opaline glass and brass – Vintage 1970s

Neo-Victorian style table lamp, inspired by antique oil lamps, dating from the 1960s-1970s. The reservoir is made of blown pink opaline glass, in a flattened spherical shape, mounted on a circular patinated brass base with mouldings. The upper part in brass faithfully reproduces the elements of a period oil lamp: burner with an openwork gallery featuring Gothic arch patterns, cut crown, and two wick adjustment knobs on either side. The conical lampshade in pink silk fabric is adorned with a double golden trim at the top and bottom. The whole exudes a romantic and warm aesthetic, characteristic of French decorative productions from this period.
