Set of Three S 43 Cantilever Chairs by Mart Stam. Early version, manufactured by Vichr & Co. in former Czechoslovakia during the 1930s. These chairs feature black lacquered plywood seats and a sturdy chrome-plated tubular steel frame, embodying timeless vintage charm. The steel elements show minor signs of aging, while the wooden parts remain well-preserved, likely restored in the past. Dating back to the 1930s, the design details—such as the two rounded ends of the steel tube in the backrest area without pipe caps and the plywood backrest attached to the tubes with three screws on each side—confirm its early production. Lables missing. Price is for a set of three chairs. A total of four chairs are available. One chair is slightly higher, as shown in the photos, and is being sold separately.
