Square pressed glass ashtray with rosette – 1960s-70s

Square ashtray in pressed glass with rosette – Spirit of the 1960s-70s. Vintage transparent pressed glass ashtray, square in shape, characterized by its thick base and radiant decor. At the center of the bowl, a circular rosette unfolds with long, narrow, raised ribs that converge at a single point before fanning out. This solar motif gives the piece its unique character. The thick walls rise around this central composition. Their oblique reliefs structure the four sides and connect to a top edge cut into four recesses, designed for placing cigarettes. The corners are softened, while the solid base reveals the same radiant design underneath. A play of transparency and depth that makes the glass sparkle depending on the angle of light. It can return to its original function or become an elegant catch-all on a console, desk, or coffee table. Dimensions: 10.7 × 10.7 cm. Height: 4 cm. Transparent pressed glass, thick base. Stylistic dating: 1960-1970. A small glass sun, placed there to collect everyday objects.
