Vintage polychrome glazed ceramic pebble vase

With its low and generously rounded silhouette, almost pebble-shaped, this fascinating ceramic vase plays as much with volume as with colour. Its flattened body is topped with a wide, ring-shaped neck glazed in a deep cobalt blue, which is echoed throughout the lower part. The decoration, particularly rich, unfolds in broad concentric movements. The burnt orange, ochre yellow, almost black brown, and turquoise blue meet, fuse, and overlap under a glossy glaze. A very graphic piece, with powerful yet surprisingly balanced colours, whose compact shape further accentuates its sculptural character. A mark or signature that is difficult to decipher is present under the base. It is in excellent condition. Height: 12 cm. Maximum diameter of the body: 17 cm.
