Handmade using traditional techniques in the Pitoresque region of Maramures, northern Romania. Made from 3 sewn parts, in good condition, just the air of the yime and a yellow spot in the wool as in one of the photos, size 227 x 134 cm. In Romania, years ago, every mother handmade beautiful carpets and rugs for her daughters as a point for their weddings. I grew up with this: every winter, at my grandmother's house, village women, neighbors and relatives, spend the evenings and those long winter nights together, working on beautiful wool carpets or other handmade items.
