Fan Silk and Bamboo Handheld Screen - Decoration Bird Cherry Blossom Sakura Painted China Japan 1900

This beautiful antique fan is made of hand-painted silk. It is a handheld screen from asia - china or japan and dating from the early 20th century. It is adorned with a delicate blue bird decoration installed on a branch of sakura cherry tree. The handle is made of bamboo. This range shows signs of wear: fragility of the fabric, stains and holes. It was reinforced on the back with tissue paper and water glue. It measures 23 cm X 36 cm.
