Ceramic bowl designed by Marianne Starck for the renowned Danish manufactory Michael Andersen & Søn (MA&S), 1970s. A flat, wide form with a distinctly worked interior divided into geometric segments and a central spiral motif. The characteristic interplay of rhythm and structure, typical of Marianne Starck’s designs, creates a strong graphic effect associated with modernist Danish ceramics. The signature with three fish and the “MS” mark clearly confirm the authorship and origin from the Michael Andersen manufactory on the island of Bornholm. The stoneware, with its raw texture and subdued colour palette, highlights the artisanal character and collectible value of the piece. Condition: The item is preserved in its original state and may show minor scratches and normal signs of use. Technical data. Height: 6.5 cm. Width: 34 cm. Depth: 34 cm.
