Neoclassical Trumeau. Empire era, nineteenth century

Sober and with a classic pediment, this trumeau giving pride of place to ice, is painted in an english green whose shade perfectly matches the decorative elements raised with gold leaf. The studs are decorated with a string of pearls, laurel wreaths while the pediment as well as the studs are decorated with rosettes and leaves of acanthus and palmettes. Everything in this decorative vocabulary is part of the neoclassical taste specific to the empire and initiated by the craftsmen and assemblers working in the palaces of napoleon I. The whole is in very good condition.
