A vase from the 1930s, made of crystal-clear glass by the famous Moser manufactory in Karlovy Vary, is an example of Art Deco with modernist austerity and high-quality craftsmanship. The form is built by an octagonal bowl with a sparkling amber-yellow hue, supported on a massive, multi-faceted base. The whole is devoid of additional decorations – the expressive power lies in the play of light on the perfectly polished facets and clean, geometric lines. The body of the vase gently transitions from an expanded, spherical central part to a slender, impressively flared bowl. A subtle signature on the bottom confirms its origin from the Moser factory. Condition is very good: the surface is free of chips, cracks, or visible signs of use. The vase carries the spirit of the 1930s – an era when simplicity of form and clarity of material were a manifesto of modernity. Its amber colour evokes the warm light of the southern sun, while the geometric breaks in shape seem to tell a story of times when design was meant to be bold, and every cut of glass built a composition of light and shadow. The perfectly clear crystal needs no ornament – it speaks of luxury and restraint from the Art Deco era, which valued craftsmanship over opulence. Such a vase can be displayed on a veneered console or marble table in the living room – its intense colour will enhance a neutral background and accentuate the space. In a modernist arrangement, it will create tension between glass and raw wood, and in an eclectic interior, it can be combined with ceramic vessels or placed next to a silver tray with a geometric pattern. It is worth considering arranging it among books in hard covers and metal accents, emphasizing the historical pedigree of the piece. The vase is made of high-quality faceted crystal, with great clarity and a flawlessly polished surface. For cleaning, it is recommended to use a soft cloth and mild chemicals intended for crystal; prolonged soaking or the use of abrasive materials is not recommended to avoid damaging the polished finish.
