Magnificent 19th Century Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze Sconce with Three Light Arms. I'm offering a magnificent antique piece: a late 19th-early 20th century gilt bronze sconce in the Louis XV style. Everything here evokes the refinement of the Rococo style, with fluted arms delicately adorned with foliage and asymmetrical, fretworked curves. The finials are finely sculpted, almost theatrical, while the wall plate features acanthus motifs typical of this period. The gilding, alternating between shiny and matte areas, subtly plays with the light and gives a magnificent relief to the shapes, accentuating their elegance. Period: 19th century. Style: Louis XV - Transition. Condition: Good overall condition with signs of wear due to age, beautiful antique patina, missing electrical system, which may need to be redone depending on the country or left as is.
