Magnificent set of 6 antique chairs (late 19th / early 20th century) made of fruitwood, featuring an openwork backrest composed of turned balusters and crowned with a sculpted crosspiece adorned with a floral rosette. Characteristics: - Curved and turned legs, H-shaped stretcher - Uprights decorated with fluting and turned finials - Seats upholstered in embossed leather with Art Nouveau pattern (stylised flowers and scrolls, crocodile-like background), secured with round-headed copper nails - Solid wood, beautiful honey patina - Sturdy seat, stable structure Condition: Antique chairs with minor signs of use consistent with their age. No coarse repairs, sound structure, all chairs are stable and do not creak. The leather and wood have been waxed.
