Plate Canton 1860 drawing edited by Boch brothers

Ancient plate representing an oriental chinese scene with as a decorative effect an iridescent finish (vitrified engobe) that returns a light more or less golden depending on the orientation, effect perceptible in photos and reserved for parts painted in bronze. Depending on the orientation, the reflection is either golden or silvery. beautiful decorative ensemble at the same time rich in colors, lush vegetation and décor immediately plunging us into an oriental garden. Presence of markings on back 2 and 6369.  This canton model with a polychrome chinese-inspired decoration, covered with a glossy varnish, was produced around 1860 by the boch-a-la-louvière earthenware factory (napoleon III period).  Dimensions (cm): 23.
