This phenomenal tatlin sofa was designed by mario cananzi and roberto semprini for the Italian manufacture edra in the second half of the 20th century. In 1993, they won the top ten award for the tatlin sofa at the cologne furniture fair by dupont international. The wooden model of the sofa is located in the Pompidou center in Paris. This object is lined with white skaï. The spiral inside is padded with polyurethane foam, completely shaped by hand. It is a true work of architecture and an icon of edra, Today, it is known worldwide for its comfort and aesthetics, which combine artistic tradition, technological research, high manual skills and very high quality materials. Edra has always created exclusive and timeless products and has been part of the collections of the most important international museums of contemporary art and design around the world for many years. Edra's works are part of the permanent collections of the moma in New York, the Centre Pompidou and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, the Vitra Design Museum in weil am rhein and die neue sammlung in Munich. In an option of vinyl fabric of the most unusual, interesting and tactile of a dazzling white and in a superb and impeccably maintained condition, having seen a light and irregular use in the past. Except for a few light marks, superficial but visible on the seat, and some inevitable folds on this vynil fabric, it is really captivating. The sofa is in its original vintage condition with slight traces of time. The seat height is 43 cm.
