Victor Courtray (1896-1987), 6 “neo-Basque” straw chairs Art Deco 1940s TBE

Suite of 6 art deco oak straw chairs in "neo-basque" style, 1940s, very strongly attributable to victor courtray (1896 - 1987). They are all in excellent condition, including mulch in golden wheat straw, stable and solid. Note: the movement of the backrest and the "saber" rear legs, resolutely from the 1940s, the rear of the "horseshoe" seat, the crosspieces of the backrests, and the front legs including "balls", dear to this interior designer who knew how to revitalize the basque style without sacrificing manufacturing quality. Height at the back: 97 cm, at the seat: 44.5 cm width: 45 cm; depth: 48 cm.
