Sarreguemines coffee set 6 cups + 2 earthenware coffee pots with Chinese bamboo decor

This superb antique coffee service is made of Sarreguemines earthenware. The set includes six coffee cups, six saucers, a coffee pot, and a teapot. The decoration features polychrome chinoiserie scenes on an ivory background, with stylized plants, Asian architectural elements, and pagodas. The edges are decorated with floral friezes and screen-printed motifs, enhanced by hand. The handles are molded in the shape of bamboo. Signed "Sarreguemines Digoin, " this service dates from 1900 to 1930. Good overall condition, with some chips and cracks on some pieces, scratches, and stains from use. Dimensions: cups 10 X 6 cm (height), saucers 15.5 cm in diameter, coffee pot 22 cm high, teapot 18 cm high.
