Description
Period: ca. Late 19th-early 20th. A large brass wall lamp with a special frosted speckled glass tulip. The wall lamp is larger and extends farther from the wall than most models. The gooseneck stem is decorated with a volute acanthus leaf. The glass tulip shade is held in place by a decorated metal fastener that holds small clamping screws. The tulip is a frosted speckled glass of a white color that turns into a delicate pink-brown hue around the furrowed edge. For a safe expedition, the tulip will be packed unscrewed (do not tighten the screws too hard when repositioning or the glass could crack). The wall lamp is not wired. It takes a light bulb to small socket. Status: good. A slight blow/twist to the stem at the ends (see photo). The bulb base is new. Dimensions: 23 cm high, 41 cm wall extension, wall plate 8 cm diameter, 0.47 kg.
