This lamp mounted from a green monochrome glazed stoneware vase is an artistic piece made by andré horellou, circa 60, during his presence at the kéraluc factory in quimper. He worked on sandstone pieces for which he developed a very specific type of decoration, that of the scratch decoration that can be seen very well on this piece: the framed motifs and friezes of celtic inspiration are either painted or hollow, revealing the matt sandstone from below (including some places where sandstone appears more widely, irregularities of origin). This gives a beautiful effect of material, relief and an assertive character to this unique piece. The pleated lampshade is new, its base measures 30 cm and height 17 cm. The period electrical assembly still works, provide a large bayonet bulb, maximum 40 w. Dimensions: height with lampshade 42 cm, height of the foot 33 and the vase 25 cm, diameter 15 cm.
