Vintage 1970s Egyptian Harrania Wool Kilim Tapestry Wall Rug

A handmade flatweave kilim wall rug made in the small village of harrania, south of cairo. Dating from the around 1970s and showing a fruit merchant in a rural village setting, it is rendered in mostly neutral and earthy tones of wool that were naturally-dyed on site.
