Vintage illuminated globe – late 1940s / early 1950s

Vintage illuminated globe from the late 1940s or early 1950s, mounted on an elegant stepped metal base. Its period cartography notably features French West Africa, French Equatorial Africa, Belgian Congo, Siam, and the Federation of Malaysia. Beautiful blue and cream colors with a lovely patina of time. When lit, the globe emits a soft and warm light. Overall good condition considering its age, with slight signs of use and patina visible in the photos.
