Vintage 1970s Herda Wall or Ceiling Lamp – Opaline Glass Globe on Hexagonal Base. This vintage Herda lamp from the 1970s is a classic example of Dutch mid-century lighting design. Featuring a frosted opaline glass dome and an architectural hexagonal base, it can be used either as a wall or ceiling fixture, offering a soft, diffuse light ideal for atmospheric interiors. Can remind Thabur production. Manufactured by Herda, a renowned Dutch lighting company, this piece carries the original maker's label and model number (Pl. Nr. 61050). The lamp measures approximately 14 cm in height (5.5 in), 25 cm in width (9.8 in), and 22 cm in depth (8.7 in). It supports a standard E27 bulb up to 60W (220V). Crafted from durable plastic and glass, the lamp presents visible signs of age, including a yellowed plastic base, surface wear, and a chipped mounting socket (see detailed photos). Despite cosmetic flaws, it remains structurally sound and functional, delivering warm and pleasant lighting. Its geometric form, softened by the glowing orb, makes it a desirable piece for collectors of vintage Dutch lighting or lovers of minimalist design. Ideal for hallways, bathrooms, or accent walls. Condition: Fair vintage condition. Visible discoloration and one internal chip on the socket housing. Still functional and visually appealing when installed. A charming and practical relic of 1970s European design.
