This beautiful collector's item is a curiosity: a small shell hanap mounted in silverware. In the shape of a bird - a stork or a marabou perhaps, this chalice is composed of a white shell and a embossed ornament in silver or silver alloy. Recalling the magnificent hanaps decorated with nautiluses mounted in silverware from the 18th and 19th century. It is an old, handcrafted object dating from the 19th century. It bears no hallmarks and certainly comes from the orient. It measures 13 cm in height and 4 cm in width. I point out traces of oxidation and chips on the shell.
