Magnificent and very old bistro glasses for absinthe in ouraline. Modern and sleek design, hexagonal feet, astonishing colour. Ouraline has the unique characteristic of containing a small amount of uranium, which gives it that particular and fascinating hue between yellow and glass; in natural light, it reveals its spectacular fluorescence under ultraviolet (UV) light (see photo). Ouraline experienced its heyday between 1880 and 1920 when it was very fashionable. Production ceased during the Second World War, as uranium was requisitioned for military needs. This series has rather well survived the last century, in very good general condition, with beautiful transparency. The gold trim, however, is somewhat faded. One of the glasses has two small chips on the base (see the last photos). Height 15 cm. Base 5.5 cm. Diameter of the rim 7.5 cm. Weight of the 6 glasses 2 kg. These glasses will, of course, be packaged with all the precautions and care they deserve.
