Antique Louis XVI Bed Frame

Louis XVI style green-gray painted twin size (double) bed dating to late 19th century. The headboard is cleaned, but in need of a new upholstery in any fabric you like. Painted a grey green color, this vintage bed is made in the french louis XVI style and features many of the stylistic details of that period. Intricately hand-carved side rails and foot boards. Pomegranate finials cap the turned and twisted columns found at the bed’s foot end. Mattress size: 140cm X 195 cm. Frame size: l 206 cm. W 147 cm. H 25 cm. H of head board 120 cm. Please note: this twin size bed is not as large as todays “twin” size bed. There are ways to adapt an old bed to todays standards. One of those options is to order a custom box spring and mattress that will fit your new bed. Only using the back and front of the frame is also a possibility.
