Pair of tubular armchair chairs

Set of 2 armchairs in chromed metal b34 by marcel breuer, reissued by the architects for matteo grassi in the 1960s. These seats have a refined construction, a chrome metal tubular structure. The backrest and seat are stretched with thick black leather. They are stitched with saddle stitch, two-needle sewing technique, very appreciated because of the strongest. Note the absence under one of the armchairs of the two metal hoops with screw thread and leather armrests (see photo). With their original curves, these two matteo grassi armchairs combine comfort and timeless design. Era: 1960. Original condition with normal traces of age. Dimensions: armchair: width: 56 cm depth: 53 cm height: 80 cm seat height: 44 cm. Weight 6kg.
