Set of boxes in Persian Khatam

Set of two boxes: a cutlery box and a tissue box made of khatam from isfahan and handmade wood in iran and antiques. These boxes are unique and antique are jewels of persian (iranian) craftsmanship. Isfahan khatam is an ancestral craft and artistic method of the eponymous city in iran. The craftsman cuts thin copper rods, local woods such as poplar or walnut and camel bones (about 1 mm). He combines them together so that he can create star-shaped patterns. He repeats the process until he gets the proper reasons. It is a very long and meticulous process, a real work of goldsmith. Then we fix the result obtained on everyday objects shaped in wood.
