Series of 4 Cesca B32 chairs by Marcel Breuer. Very good condition, no canning defect or breakage on the wood. The Cesca B32 chair, also known as the Cantilever chair, is a chair by Hungarian designer Marcel Breuer, designed in 1925. It is an emblematic piece of the artist's career, but also of the Bauhaus movement. Its structure is made of curved chrome steel, in a single tube. The CESCA chair does not have rear legs (corbelling system) The seat is made of light canning with a varnished light beech wood frame. 📐 Seat 46, 5x43cm Seat height: 44, 5cm Total height: 84cm. 
🔎 Canning in very good condition. Foot without any rust spot 💡 A typical Bauhaus lounge chair The Cesca B32 is a perfect example of the best that Bauhaus design produces. When designing the Cesca B32 chair, Marcel Breuer respects the principle of balance. He therefore designed it in such a way that its aesthetic was minimalist, supported by a curved tubular steel structure. The Cantilever chair consists of a single chrome-plated steel tube (a feat!), curved at the corners to give it a rounded shape. A peculiarity that makes the signature of the chair: the rear legs are non-existent. Marcel Breuer has indeed removed this characteristic. The balance of the chair is based on calculations of weight and overhangs. The B32 model is easily recognizable by its technical characteristics and materials. Why the B32 model is nicknamed "CESCA" A little anecdote that warms the heart: marcel breuer gave the name of his adopted daughter to what is probably one of his most beautiful creations.
