Azilal boujad carpet dated between the end of 1800 and the beginning of 1900. Carpet with strong colors, typical of a territory marked by conflicts over the centuries and with a great influence of arab art. In fact, the diamond patterns are replaced by squares of different sizes with which figures and large colored spaces are represented. The result is a very modern design that can be combined with contemporary design. Wool warp and weft, from the middle atlas, hand-knotted by nomadic tribes, estimated to date from the late 1800s, early 1900s, from an important milanese antiques gallery specializing in the sector. This example was chosen as a display for the dior 2021 morocco campaign parade in marrakech and as a backdrop for the saint laurent workshop museum in marrakech.
