The trunk, a word that dates back to the 9th century, comes from the high german malaha or malha and means "bagoche". The trunks have existed since man travels, but their manufacture accelerated during the development of rail transport in the 1870s and multiplied in the 30s/40s and it was after the war that the trunk more or less disappeared. This large trunk proposed is made of wood entirely covered with fine sheet metal to protect the wood with nails in decoration, it is surely a model for mail. The interior is covered with a tapestry, the closures are made of metal and it has 2 leather side handles. The whole is in its juice, but in its industrial style, this old trunk is very deco and can, with a good restoration, serve as a storage chest in a room or other room of the house. Weight 19.94 kg. Height 59 cm. Width 55 cm. Length 91 cm. 58 cm depth.
