Large baluster-shaped vase in cloisonné enamel on copper and brass, a refined witness to the traditional craftsmanship of Asian arts from the second half of the 20th century (circa 1960-1970). This decorative piece stands out for the density and richness of its floral decoration, meticulously executed by hand. It features a profusion of generous blooming peonies — a traditional symbol of prosperity — crafted in a range of vermilion red, cobalt blue, and soft green, set against a textured background with golden reflections. The very flared neck highlights a superb patina of gilded brass. The underside of the vase showcases its original turquoise protective enamel with a base ring in raw brass, an unmistakable signature of the fine artisanal productions of this era. A characterful piece with generous organic shapes, ideal for adding a touch of chic exoticism to a modernist sideboard or a selected buffet. Very good condition. A piece ready to be displayed. 📏 Dimensions: Height: 23cm. Diameter: 17cm. Please feel free to contact me for more information or photos.
