This high quality antique rug from malayer was hand woven in 1930 with an all over repeat pattern of floral bouquets and geometric motifs, on a background of bright orange. The central design is then enclosed with an intricately detailed geometric linear border. Both the colour and design in this wool rug make this piece the perfect accent piece for any room. Handmade in persia in the 1930s by the village weavers of afshar, constructed with fine organic materials including hand-spun wool that has been dyed with organic vegetable dyeing techniques which have been used for generations.
