Small restored occasional piece of furniture

How many hours of sanding it took to transform this bedside table into a small piece of furniture (i'll slip you the “before” photo at the end of the carousel)! Bye-bye peeling paint and welcome rediscovered wood and a pretty blackened patina. The entire piece of furniture was then varnished to protect the paint and wood. On the front, the cover page of the april 27, 1895 edition of the magazine “l'illustration” has been laminated. It represents the painting “hawthorn” by the 19th american painter daniel ridgway knight. The paper has also been varnished.
