Belgian watercolour Pond in the forest near Chevetogne signed J. Dupont

Delicate old watercolour depicting a wooded landscape crossed by a calm pond, whose reflections enhance the softness of the composition. The work is signed J. Dupont in the bottom right and has a handwritten note on the back mentioning "La Mare près de Chevetogne, " a locality renowned for its natural and forested landscapes in Belgium. The subtle palette blends pastel tones, water reflections, and the transparencies characteristic of the watercolour technique. The whole exudes a peaceful and contemplative atmosphere, particularly decorative. It is presented in its original frame with a black and cream geometric design under glass, identical to that of other known works by the artist. A charming piece that will appeal to lovers of Belgian watercolours, natural landscapes, and authentic vintage decor. Dimensions with frame: approximately 39 X 21 cm. Overall good condition with slight signs of age consistent with its antiquity.
