Our carpets are made from high quality wool, carefully selected and dyed naturally. These beautifully detailed hand-woven rugs are made on traditional wooden looms by the berber woman of the atlas mountains. The story behind the carpets varies by region, tribes and style. Traditionally, they were woven as gifts or for the family home and told a story using symbols, lines and motifs about everyday life consisting of spirituality, work, family and more. In almost all moroccan carpets you will find a diamond, this one was woven on the carpets because it was believed that it protected the recipient from the evil eye. Although carpets do not share the personal stories of women today, they retain all the traditional elements, symbols and techniques of the past. We are able to make custom orders in any size of your choice, please contact us if you would like to customize the design, pattern, colors or size.
