Add a sophisticated touch to your interior with this stunning set of two vintage chairs designed by Cor Alons, one of the most influential Dutch designers of the 20th century. These chairs feature the elegant simplicity and functionalist clarity that define Alons’ work. Cor Alons (1892–1967) was an interior architect, industrial designer, furniture maker, and long-time lecturer at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. A leading figure in Dutch functionalism, he created furniture with clean lines, honest construction, and high-quality materials in refined colour combinations. In 1929, Alons became a professor at the Royal Academy and mentored iconic designers such as Rob Parry. For his 70th birthday in 1962, he was honoured with a major exhibition at the Gemeentemuseum The Hague. Today, his work is part of the Centraal Museum Utrecht collection. Dimensions: height 87 cm, seat height 46 cm, depth 53 cm, width 43 cm. Condition: Signs of use but in good working condition. The original skai upholstery has some scuffs and slight tears, especially on the blue one. Structurally solid and ready for immediate use. Ideal for dining, office, or design interiors. Price is for the two chairs.
