Console - table from the Swedish brand Sjöberg - length 135cms

An old workbench from the Swedish brand Sjöbergs. It features an iconic design that is visually much lighter than traditional workbenches. It will fit into many interiors, from rustic to industrial and even more contemporary styles. The structure is made of solid pine and the top is birch, two indigenous Swedish woods. The two clamps with their wooden screws are specific to Sjöbergs workbenches from the 20th century. They are fully functional. The piece shows signs of wear (saw marks or others) and wood-boring insects. However, it has been treated against the latter with an appropriate product. The rear crossbeam, which had received a saw cut, has been repaired with a butterfly joint, and the assembly is solid. It is also worth noting that the top has been recently planed. The piece has been refinished with linseed oil to maintain its rustic appearance. Waxing the furniture is also possible. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me for details.
