Round mirror in gilded wood, Empire style - early 20th century - 89x61cm

Golden mirror of round shape, suspended, in the spirit of empire. In the middle of a leafy front is an eagle with outstretched wings, as if ready to take flight. Its talons rest on a circular frame, moulded, and lined with eight small protruding balls arranged at regular intervals. The lower part is embellished with vegetable decorations similar to those at the top. The original ice in perfect condition is 46 cm in diameter. The discreet but nevertheless notable shades of brun, which highlight the feathers of the raptor and the ribs of the leaves, will be appreciated on this pretty mirror.
