Massive elm lamp 1970

Solid elm table lamp made by a craftsman in the 1970s. A few marks on the foot, spin holes. Wood cleaned and oiled in 2021. Shade in curved wooden strips. Little nerve to screw. Total height: 70cm. —- Elm is a hard and resistant wood. Its warm colour and rich veins make this wood an essence of character. Elm is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful species used in the manufacture of contemporary furniture. Elms are trees of the genus ulmus, a family of ulmaceae or ulmacées reaching about thirty meters. The elm is a tree of high forest, and provides excellent timber.
