Organic, sculptural, rare, this lamp is the Hebi model in its large version of 150 cm, designed by Japanese designer Isao Hosoe for the Italian house Valenti in the 1970s, one of the most sought-after pieces from Valenti's production. Its long, flexible, black PVC body bends and positions freely in all directions, finished with a spherical, adjustable head in glossy black metal. Without a fixed base, it can be placed, coiled, and staged like a living sculpture. This large version of 1.50 m offers a far greater freedom of staging than the standard version, allowing for expansive and spectacular compositions. Each position is different, and each use becomes a new form. Valenti is one of the most important Italian lighting houses of the 1970s, whose collaborations with international designers such as Isao Hosoe, Studio Tetrarch, or De Pas, D’Urbino and Lomazzi have been awarded the Compasso d’Oro multiple times. The Hebi is now among the most sought-after Valenti pieces on platforms like 1stDibs or Pamono. The large version in black is the rarest of the two formats. Brand: Valenti Milano. Designer: Isao Hosoe. Model: Hebi (large model) Date: c. 1970. Place of production: Italy 🇮🇹 Colour: Black. Materials: Flexible PVC, lacquered metal. Length: 150 cm without the cable. Signs of wear due to age, but remains in good overall condition.
